Folk art created by the Lorenzo Family in Mexico. Four generations of the family paint, hence why they are signed with different names! We buy them from the Grandson, Fernando Lorenzo. These are original paintings inspired by the tradition of retablo painting, which tell a multitude of stories. In the religious series, the family take inspiration from the Catholic traditions of Mexican culture. Catholicism is a key component of everyday life and features heavily throughout mexico, every corner you turn there are images and shrines to various saints, particularly, our lady of Guadalupe.
